A number of independent sources has recently indicated that iOS version 5 will include some sort of application push mechanism, allowing organizations to push corporate applications to an iOS device being under MDM control. Equally interesting is the ability to pull the applications off the device again.
The feature could prove to be very useful in organizations with a “bring-your-own” policy, as both corporate e-mail and corporate applications can easily be removed from the device of a retired employee.
Analysts expect iOS version 5 to be release during October.
